Your holiday in Finistère Nord

The North Finistère (or Penn Ar Bed in Breton) is full of beautiful places to visit and activities, whether it’s sunny or bad weather.

Start by strolling through the Arree Mountains where nature is completely preserved. You can climb to the highest points of Brittany, such as the Roc’h ruz with its 385.01 meters. Take in the magnificent view of the sea or the steeples of St Pol de Léon.

From here, go to the Crozon Peninsula, which is also part of the Armorique Regional Natural Park. You can discover beautiful coves and impressive cliffs that adorn this unspoilt landscape.

After these beautiful steps, you may have a little dip. We advise you to head to Douarnenez, capital of the kouign-Amann. You can admire the city at the three ports.

Going further north, take a trip to Brest. Indeed, the capital of Finistère offers a large number of places to visit. Go for a walk on the port and you might have the chance to see the Abeille-Bourbon, the impressive French tugboat.

Take the cable car to the Capuchin quarter, pass by the botanical conservatory or the castle and national naval museum. Above all, go to Océanopolis, the ideal place to immerse yourself in the marine environment.

Not far away, escape to St. Matthew’s Point. The vegetation is wild and is home to the ruins of an ancient abbey lit by one of the region’s many lighthouses. Next door, at the Conquet, you can take the shuttles that connect the beautiful islands of Molène and Ouessant.

A little closer to Sibiril, go for a walk in the historic city of Morlaix. Take a walk on the viaduct and admire the view. Take a step back in time, stroll through the old town and admire the unique houses in Pondalez.

Before you go back to the campsite, stop in Carantec. Cross on foot, to stroll on Callot Island or go on an excursion to the sea and visit our Breton “Fort Boyard”: the Château du Taurus.
